Floating Away

One of my favorite types of dreams are the ones where I'm floating. Not really flying, just sort of hanging out off the ground. Sometimes it's only a few feet off the ground. I'll be walking and lean forward into it when my feet come off the ground, and I'm floating a long distance step before I have to take another step. I don't go fast, so it's not really flying around, just floating on air at about the same speed as I was walking. People around me are typically amazed and ask how I do it. I have to tell them I just do. I really don't know how.
Other times, I'm floating up to trees or rooftops and can land on a limb or sit on a roof. It kind of makes me think of the 80's movie, The Boy Who Could Fly. Maybe that's where my mind created this. It does get incredibly windy here at times, and I had mentioned once that the wind was so strong, if you lean forward and spread out your arms, you can float for a few seconds before smashing into the ground.
Interpretation of this would be that I feel like I have accomplished something and feel free from it; I'm no longer bound to it. I have control over that situation. I don't have these dreams very often, maybe once or twice a year. Is my life really out of control most of the time? Either way, these are my favorite because it feels so freeing to just float away. I never get too high, just above the trees looking down on everything. This is one of those dreams I wish were a reality. In the words of Pennywise the Dancing Clown: "We all float down here."
