My Faerie Tale
MY FAERIE TALE is a fantasy fiction novel of 78,352 words, a stand-alone manuscript that is the first novel of a trilogy of fantastical creatures and mystical adventures. If you were to take a human who sees faeries, similar to Tithe by Holly Black, mix in a dash of theme likened to Anthea Sharp’s Faerie Swap and Iris Compiet’s Faeries in the Faultlines with a sprinkle of mischief from Rowena Miller’s The Faery Bargains of Prospect Hill, you have an idea of My Faerie Tale.

Synopsis
Snuggled tightly under her covers, wide-eyed and feigning sleep, she waited. Nearly every night, two bright lights came through the window and danced around her bedroom only to vanish moments later. Samantha Braun was visited by faeries. When they stopped visiting, and Sami grew up, she tucked this fantasy away with the rest of her childhood. Now in her sixties and stricken with leukemia, Sami’s desperate attempt at survival takes her to Ireland where she uncovers an incredible secret. Faeries really do exist!

As the veil between life and death thins, Sami sees her faeries again, only this time, they speak. They offer her the chance of a lifetime, to leave her sickly, mortal body and become a faerie. Unable to resist the temptation, she crosses into the faerie realm where she embarks on wild adventures. When she unknowingly commits treason against the crown, she must face off with the vengeful faerie king to avoid death—again.
